Madonna fell of stage at brits- Madonna fell from the podium during her performance at the Brit Awards on Wednesday the 25th after one of her backing dancers appeared to accidentally pull her down a flight of stairs. The singer was standing at the top of the stairs wearing a long cape flowing train that billowed down to the stage, singing the first words of Living for Love. She appeared to be struggling to take off the cape, and when a dancer at the bottom tried to help her take it off but it resulted in Madonna falling down a flight of stairs. The audience were shocked and gasps were heard in the O2 auditorium. Some in the audience believed it was part of the act until they realised Madonna had dropped the microphone and was no longer singing. However after the fall the singer got up and carried on with her performance. |
Eddie Redmayne wins best actor at Oscars- Eddie Redmayne won his first Oscar on Sunday for role as physicist Stephen Hawking in the movie "The Theory of Everything." An emotional Eddie Redmayne has been propelled into the frontline of Hollywood stardom as he won the leading actor Oscar. Accepting his award from Cate Blanchett, a shocked Eddie said: “I don’t think I’m capable of articulating quite how I feel right now. I’m fully aware that I’m a lucky, lucky man”. He dedicated the award to all of those people around the world battling motor neurone disease the illness that left Professor Hawking in a wheelchair. Redmayne said that he was utterly overwhelmed to be presented with the award by Cate Blanchett and extremely shocked that he had won best actor. |
